About Jelly Bird Manufacturing
It all started by accident
I wanted to save a few bucks, so I made a little adapter for one of my pistols. Other people wanted to save money too, so I sold a few.
Then I did the math on what I was really asking someone to trust, and I didn't like the answer. There was no real engineering behind it. It was probably fine. But "probably fine" is not a phrase I want anywhere near something a person carries. So I stopped selling it.
That was the first rule of Jelly Bird, and it showed up years before the name did: if I'm not sure, we don't sell it.
Time passed. I became a realtor, and the world kept being the world. I wanted a carry gun I could hide under dress clothes, so I went small. Small is great until you notice your pinky hanging off the grip like it missed the bus. Anyone who carries a compact pistol knows that feeling. I didn't want to give up concealment to fix it, and a bulky add-on that screams "aftermarket" isn't exactly the look when you're handing someone the keys to their first home.
So I got to work. I'm a perfectionist and a little bit paranoid (that part's a joke, mostly), and for once both came in handy. I tested, threw things out, and tested again, until I had something I'd be comfortable carrying every day myself.
Then something happened that I didn't plan for. People started writing back. They sent questions about fit, photos of their setups, and a few kind words. It turns out there are a lot of us: people who carry quietly, every day, because someone at home matters more than convenience. We all want the same thing, which is gear that feels right and doesn't get in the way of real life.
Jelly Bird is a small company with a big standard. It's one guy in Florida, a stubborn attention to detail and a growing group of people who care about getting the little things right. We're glad you found us.
